Smartest and Best Vet I ever worked with in my 50+ yrs. Dr. B. is gifted in diagnosis of unusual conditions and diligent to research and carry out the most effective treatment protocols. One of my much loved show horses had a very unusual eye issue that was actually the result of a much much more complicated condition. She tenaciously was able to figure out the root cause of the problem, successfully treat for that and saved my mares eye and sight out of that eye. Dr. B is Excellent with deciphering lameness issues and she does a fantastic job on Dentals, Nutrition, and all other routine care as well. She explains what is going on at all stages and is compassionate to both Horse and Owner. Prices are extremely reasonable as well.

Dr. Bercier gives thorough, quality care to my horses and keeps the animals well being at the top priority. Very dedicated to the well being of her patients. Dr. B keeps her appointments on time and is conscientious about updating you if there are ever delays. She gives sound advice (even if it's something she knows you don't want to hear). Dr. Bercier is one of the finest Equine Vets I know. My husband and I raised, trained and showed Paso Fino Horses from 1985-2010. Although we have not been active in showing we continue to enjoy our Paso Finos.When we moved from Gulfport, MS to the Jackson, MS area in 1992 we used 4 different veterinarians in less than 2 years. We trailered our mares to FL for AI (breeding) until we fortunately found Dr. Bercier. We quickly knew we could rely on her to manage our breeding program. The first year Dr. Bercier had a 97% conception rate using AI the next 100%. An excellent diagnostician! One of the many things we admired about Dr. Bercier is her honesty and caring. She always called to check up on horses she treated. Although she has moved we continue to consult Dr. Bercier.

Dr. B is wonderful!! She has been our vet for 9 years and taught my daughter how to care for her horses. She has worked with us during purchases, lameness, and even end of life care. Dr. B goes over and beyond for her clients to the point of calling to remind a coggins is due, right before a huge event that would have prevented my child from competing. She is simply the best vet on the Gulf Coast!!!

I could not say enough positive comments to express what I think of Dr. B and her clinic. Not only has she provided amazing, correct and successful care for my horses...but she is ALWAYS just a call away and will be there as soon as she can. She is an amazing vet, and has been there from the from the start of my professional career. After becoming a Grand Prix rider, when business and my horse count grew, she advanced my horse management knowledge, along with always keeping me informed by sending friendly reminders of when horses in my barn are nearing their vax/coggins due date. What I love and respect most about Dr. B, is she not only good at her job, she is PASSIONATE about it.

Do you need a horse vet in Alabama that provides Equine Medicine to all of the Baldwin County area? Equine Medical Services is an equine-exclusive practice in Silverhill, Alabama, serving horse owners in southern Alabama and northwest Florida.

The bulk of the practice consists of reproductive services: artificial insemination with cooled and frozen semen, embryo transfer, reproductive management for natural breeding, and managing the older or hard to breed mare. Although we spend the largest percent of time on breeding; Equine dentistry, purchase exams, and general medicine are the other top areas.

We enjoy helping our clients provide optimum care for their horses, whether they are nationally ranked competitors or backyard pals.

The clinic is directly off county road 55, easy to find, but off the main road in a secluded and safe location. Security cameras allow us to observe the patients and grounds even when we are off site. Although we have an Equine clinic, we are happy to make house calls within a reasonable distance.
