Semen Freezing

Semen freezing is a procedure by which semen is collected, processed, and frozen in liquid nitrogen. The sample can be saved for use indefinitely, as long as it is held in nitrogen vapor at a temperature of 320 degrees below zero. The dogs people chose to freeze may have a superior or rare pedigree, may be outstanding in their work or sport, or may fit both categories.

We are an AKC-approved frozen semen storage facility and routinely freeze and store semen from purebred dogs. Our association with small animal practitioners in the area allows us to receive and manage frozen semen for both surgical and nonsurgical insemination.

We support the use of superior genetics through genetic testing and are available to consult on breed specific evaluations and suggest appropriate testing. Although we are not in the business of selling breedings for our clients, we do have stored semen from several superior dogs, some imports, of many breeds and are happy to put you in contact with owners of the males in which you are interested.

Stallions are also frozen and we are able to receive fresh chilled samples collected elsewhere and freeze them on site for later use.
